UPFF is the officially recognised federation of French-speaking independent film and TV producers in Belgium. 36 producers are currently members of the UPFF, and account for more than 80% of the French speaking independent film production.

The organisation defends its members’ interests by actively working with political (federal and regional) authorities, public administration and public/private operators, as well as representatives from other crafts (authors, directors…).

Current projects include:

1. At the federal level
- Tax incentive for production (lobby for improvement at the Belgian level, monitoring of European tax incentives for production)

2. At the regional level
- Lobby for the creation of regional incentives in Brussels
- Monitoring of the Wallimage programme in Wallonia

3. French Community
- Official representations at the "Centre du Cinéma", as a member of all the workshops (tax incentives, laws, piracy, public support)

UPFF has developed close links with Flemish producers and audiosivual professionals:
- UPFF shares the goals and vision of its Flemish counterpart, the Vlaamse Producentenbond
- Leading technical and services suppliers are honorary UPFF members and actively participate in periodic debates
- Close ties and active collaboration with other professional organisations (authors, actors, directors, etc.)
